Founded in 2005, Kessel Engineering Group (KEG) has quickly established itself as one of Western North Carolina’s leaders in the geotechnical and construction materials engineering and testing industry.  Our main office is located at 582 Hendersonville Road in Asheville and is just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville.  We also have a branch office in Mooresville which serves the greater Charlotte/Statesville area.

Our company is comprised of 4 professional engineers, 9 field technicians, and 3 administrative personnel.  Each of our 16 employees contributes a unique skill set to form a complementary and cohesive team focused on providing value-added services.  Our engineers have over 50 years of combined experience in the industry.  Our field technicians are extremely experienced with over 160 years of combined experience in the industry.  Since our inception, we have worked on over 1,200 projects within the Blue Ridge and Piedmont geologic regions of North Carolina.

Each aspect of our geotechnical and construction materials engineering and testing operation is performed in accordance with applicable industry test procedures and follows the guidelines established by our company’s quality system.  Our quality system outlines operating procedures and processes including organizational structure, staff responsibilities, employee training and evaluations, equipment policies, sample management, and test records and reporting.  KEG’s quality system has been developed per guidelines established by AASHTO R-18 and applicable ASTM standards.
